Turrialba and Siquirres will be the stage for the FNA

By Carlos Arias Guillén

This year, from the 17th to the 28th of March, the cities of Turrialba and Siquirres will be holding the IX edition of the FNA (National Festival of Arts) with the theme “Por el Camino Viejo” (through the old road) in allusion to the road that crosses Turrialba and that served as the main connection between the Caribbean and the Central Valley until early 1980s. This festival, which is one of the most important displays of art and culture in the country, will be the stage for music, dance, workshops, plays and much more.  Come and enjoy the concerts and move your body with the rhythms of salsa, calypso, reggae and other spicy sounds. Also, learn about other regions and countries with the national and international dances.  Do you like alternative movies? Well, in the festival you will have the chance to see a wide variety of national films. And if you are one of those who care for the environment you can participate in the workshops and plays that treat that topic. If you want to be part of this festival and to get more information, visit http://www.festivaldelasartes.go.cr and enjoy the beauties of these places in the summer.
